# Store a Tata Tele Smartflo credential How to store a Tata Tele Smartflo API credential in Automix's provider vault today, and why Wani cannot yet place or receive calls through it. _Takes about 5 minutes._ ## Before you start > **Before you start** > > You need a Tata Tele Smartflo account with API credentials issued. This guide covers storing that credential in Automix so it is ready; it does not cover placing a call through Tata Tele Smartflo, which Wani cannot do yet (see "What this does not do yet" below). > > [Tata Tele Smartflo dashboard](https://www.tatatelebusiness.com/) ## 1. Get the Access token from Tata Tele Smartflo Sign in to your Tata Tele Smartflo account and locate your API credentials. You will need Access token (issued from the Smartflo developer settings). Copy each value; you will not normally be able to view a secret value again once you navigate away. ## 2. Store the credential in Automix In Settings, open Providers and find Tata Tele Smartflo under the telephony category. Paste the value(s) you copied and save. The credential is encrypted at rest and stored per-workspace; it is never shown again in full, only whether one is set. ## 3. There is no live check for this credential yet Some providers in the same screen have a Verify button that makes a real call to confirm the credential works. Tata Tele Smartflo does not -- saving the value stores it, but nothing confirms it is correct until Wani's telephony integration for Tata Tele Smartflo exists. ## 4. What this does not do yet Storing a Tata Tele Smartflo credential does not make Wani place or receive calls through Tata Tele Smartflo today. Wani's own telephony provider registry recognizes exactly one active carrier, Vobiz; Tata Tele Smartflo is not in that registry, so WANI_TELEPHONY_PROVIDER cannot be set to it and no dial attempt will use it. This screen exists so the credential can be captured ahead of that integration landing, not because the integration exists today. > **Tata Tele Smartflo is not a connectable Wani carrier yet** > > Wani's telephony provider registry (app/services/telephony.py) lists only Vobiz as an active carrier. A stored Tata Tele Smartflo credential is held in reserve, not in use. ## Next - [Connect Vobiz (the carrier Wani can dial through today)](/docs/wani/guides/connect-vobiz) ## Provider links - [Tata Tele Smartflo signup](https://www.tatatelebusiness.com/) --- Status: reviewed · reviewed by claude-sonnet-5 Author: claude-sonnet-5
