Store a Twilio credential

How to store a Twilio API credential in Automix's provider vault today, and why Wani cannot yet place or receive calls through it.

  1. 1 Get the Account SID, the Auth token from Twilio

Sign in to your Twilio account and locate your API credentials. You will need Account SID (begins with AC); Auth token (found directly below the Account SID on your console home). Copy each value; you will not normally be able to view a secret value again once you navigate away.

  2. 2 Store the credential in Automix

In Settings, open Providers and find Twilio under the telephony category. Paste the value(s) you copied and save. The credential is encrypted at rest and stored per-workspace; it is never shown again in full, only whether one is set.

  3. 3 There is no live check for this credential yet

Some providers in the same screen have a Verify button that makes a real call to confirm the credential works. Twilio does not -- saving the value stores it, but nothing confirms it is correct until Wani's telephony integration for Twilio exists.

  4. 4 What this does not do yet

Storing a Twilio credential does not make Wani place or receive calls through Twilio today. Wani's own telephony provider registry recognizes exactly one active carrier, Vobiz; Twilio is not in that registry, so WANI_TELEPHONY_PROVIDER cannot be set to it and no dial attempt will use it. This screen exists so the credential can be captured ahead of that integration landing, not because the integration exists today.
